AI-assisted site analysis for charging infrastructure

Assess charging sites – in minutes, not weeks.

PLAIC evaluates grid connection, area, solar potential, storage and economics for every site and delivers a ready-made PDF report – even for many sites at once.

Why PLAIC

Decide before you invest.

Fast-charging hub, fleet depot or customer car park: PLAIC tells you early whether a site works technically and economically – before planning, grid enquiry and budget are committed.

Speed instead of spreadsheets

What usually takes days of research, map work and number crunching, PLAIC automates – typically within a few minutes per site.

Traceable numbers

Every figure comes with its assumptions and data basis. Uncertainty is shown as confidence instead of being hidden.

From one site to a portfolio

One site or many: site lists via CSV/Excel and a regional search help you assess even large portfolios.

Features

What the analysis delivers

One report that answers the key questions about a charging site – from load to payback.

Energy demand & peak load

Daily energy and simultaneous load – from expected vehicle volumes or from the planned charging hardware.

Grid connection

Estimate of available grid capacity (heuristic) and reinforcement needs – a basis for the grid connection enquiry.

Solar & battery storage

PV potential of the roof areas and assessment of a battery storage system for peak shaving.

Area & access

Available area, possible parking bays, plus access and road suitability for trucks.

Costs & payback

Investment and operating costs with payback in three scenarios (35 %, 50 %, 70 % utilisation).

Minimum viable setup

The smallest charging infrastructure that covers the daily demand – a realistic planning starting point.

How it works

Four steps to your report

Submit site data

Address, vehicle volumes or charging hardware – a few details are enough. Multiple sites per order possible.

Confirm the order

Your input becomes an order PDF including our terms, sent to us automatically.

Automatic analysis

PLAIC evaluates map, grid and solar data and calculates energy and economics.

Receive your report

You get the finished PDF report – in German, English or French.

The report

Clear, robust, decision-ready.

Every site gets a structured PDF report you can take straight into decision papers, grid enquiries or investment rounds.

  • Key-figure overview with feasibility verdict
  • Three utilisation scenarios as separate charts
  • Grid, area and storage assessment
  • Costs, operating result and payback
  • Notes on assumptions and limits of the calculation

The platform behind it

A look inside PLAIC

Input

A few details are enough: vehicles or charging hardware, access type and optionally the known grid capacity.

Result

Peak load, solar potential and grid capacity at a glance – with a feasibility verdict.

Area

Area assessment from map data: footprint, parking bays and grid connection.

Truck access

Road access and suitability for heavy vehicles.

Regional search

Find and compare suitable areas across a city or region.

Who it is for

Built for everyone planning charging infrastructure

Charge point operators

Pre-qualify new sites quickly and base prioritisation on numbers.

Utilities & grid operators

Estimate grid impact early and prepare enquiries in a structured way.

Fleets & logistics

Plan depot charging: power, storage, parking bays and truck access.

Retail, property & municipalities

Check whether car parks are suitable for charging and what it would cost.

Portfolio

Many sites? No problem.

Instead of handling each site individually, hand PLAIC a whole list – or let the regional search find suitable areas.

  • Multiple sites in one order
  • CSV/Excel import for large lists
  • Regional search: suitable areas in a city or region
  • One PDF report per site
Pricing

Transparent and fair

You pay per analysed site. Volume pricing for larger orders.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How reliable are the results?

All values are calculations and model assumptions based on open and proprietary data sources. The report states its assumptions and confidence. Grid capacity is a heuristic estimate and does not replace information from the grid operator – only a grid connection enquiry is binding.

What information do I need for an analysis?

At minimum the site address. The more you provide (vehicles per day, planned charge points, known grid capacity, photovoltaics), the more precise the result.

How long does an analysis take?

Usually a few minutes per site. Duration also depends on the response time of external data sources and can occasionally be longer.

In which languages is the report available?

German, English and French.

What happens to my data?

Your input is used solely to process your order. See the privacy policy for details. This site sets no tracking cookies and loads no external fonts or scripts.

When does the service start and how does payment work?

The service starts on 1 November 2026. Until then you can register or reserve an order. After launch you receive a confirmation with an invoice, and the analysis is carried out once payment has been received.

Which site should we assess first?

Register in advance or send us the key data – we will get in touch at launch on 1 November.
